2026 SLA EVENTS

Date:  Saturday, February 21 | Backup Date - Sunday, February 22.  

Time: 11:30 am - Setup

           12:00 - 12:45 pm - Tasting/Judging Begins (Judges include all attendees)

            1:00 pm - Winner Announced

Contest Rules:

• Chefs shall provide “a ready to eat chili” in a crockpot and a laddle. Each crockpot will be assigned a number.  
• The chef may provide a card with their recommendations for adding additional toppings. 
• Ready to eat chili and crockpot need to be at Raymond Park by 11:30 am 
• Judging / scoring will begin at 12:00 – 12:45.
• After judging, all are encouraged to enjoy the chili the chefs have prepared.   

RSVP:  Please let us now if you are making Chili by February 8, 2026.  

Additional Details: The SLA will provide electricity, bowls, spoons and toppings.

Description: Spring Into Summer is a new twist on the Memorial Day Event for 2026! | This event will include a Light Breakfast and Bloody Mary & Mimosa Bar. Thanks in part to Lauren Peters from RE/MAX Preferred for sponsoring this event. We love this tradition of bringing our community together for the unofficial start of the Summer season!  Sponsored by RE/MAX Preferred - Lauren Peters!

Date: June 5, 6 & 7, 2026

Location: Anywhere on Spring Lake 

Who: Minnesotans 16 year or older can take a Kid 15 years or younger fishing without a 

license.

Drawing: All participants will be eligible for drawing for one of two $50 Dairy Queen Gift Cards.

Awards: $50 Dairy Queen Gift Cards awarded to the longest fish in two categories: 

• Longest Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike
• Longest Crappie, Bluegill, Sunfish

Winners will be announced following the weekend.

How to Participate

• Fish anytime between June 5 - 7 on Spring Lake.
• Take a photo(s) of your fish, including a measuring device.
• Submit your photo with the following:
• Kid's Name 
• Kid's Age
• Accompanying Adult Name
• Email Address 
• Phone Number 
• Date the Fish was Caught
• Mailing Address 

All photos need to be submitted by Monday, June 8, 2026 by 10:00 pm to Board.SLA@gmail.com.

Summer Concert | We sent out a survey and you told us you want the Summer Concert with a band and a Food truck. During this year’s concert, we will also bring lawn games (Bags, Bocce, Jenga, Ladderball, etc.) for you to enjoy while you are listening to great music and enjoying the company of your neighbors.

Time: 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm (Time could vary by party)

Night to Unite | We know how important it is to know your neighbors, so this year, we will be assisting members who plan to host a Night to Unite Party. We hope to be able to have 5-7 parties around Spring Lake Community. We will work with party hosts to help them plan a party that makes sense for their neighborhood. We will also work with our community partners (Fire, Police, Sheriff) in an effort to coordinate a visit to all parties.
