I was simply "laking" it easy with a leisurely pontoon ride at the end of the day with my hubby. It always feels good to enjoy some quiet time to rest and relax on Spring Lake, especially when the sky is painted with such spectacular and vibrant colors.

I ventured down towards the lake to see what sort of sunset Spring Lake was offering.The sun was dropping rapidly in the late day sky. As I cast my gaze across the lake I saw an image of a descending fireball which illuminated the water below. A couple of fisherman enjoyed the view while hoping for one more big catch.

I was in the middle of fall cleanup when I noticed the changing colors on the trees near the lake. A brilliant sun was dropping low in the sky and the illumination against the colorful trees created a breathtaking Fall sunset.The sun highlighted the colors on the trees capturing a magnificent autumn view!

For several days in a row the sunsets were absolutely stunning. Kathleen would go down to the shoreline watching the many eagles and taking in the gorgeous views. This evening there were several eagles sitting on the ice & she snapped a few pictures of the sunset, as one eagle decided to take off.

Photo Submitted by Scott Knutson! This is a shot of my daughter on her paddle board, taken basically from water level - I was in the lake with the camera just above the water. The sky was so unique that evening and the way it reflected off the water was simply magical!
